First Haircut!!

I admit it, I was a little attached to Jack's hair. He is my baby and I didn't want to cut his hair and make him look grown up! I finally admitted it was time to cut it. So this his him BEFORE with his long blonde locks.

And AFTER!!! So handsome! (even with a messy face!) He looks just like his Dad!

Maddie's been tagged!

Kinley tagged Maddie and I'm supposed to list five things about her, so here it goes:

1-Maddie is a great older sister to Jack. When Jack falls down and gets hurt, she always asks him, "Are you OK, are you alright?" And then she gives him a kiss. The other day I didn't notice that Jack's drink was all gone, and Maddie brought it to me and said, "Jack more drink." And then went and took it to him. Once I took only Maddie with me to Old Navy and she wanted a bouncy ball. After I gave it to her, she asked, "Jack a ball?" So we got Jack one too.

2-She has a CRAZY bed time routine. (My mother-in-law says she gets this from her dad!) I'm not joking, this is how she goes to bed every night. After we give her a bath and get her into her jammies, we take her down the hall to her room. On the way there we have to stop at the thermostat where she can push a button, then we have to give her five and then knuckles. Then we lay her in her bed and I have to shake her quilt and spread it on her. Then we turn on her light toy that plays music. Then we have to shake her blankie on over her and it has to go right under her chin, if we miss we have to shake it and try again. Then we have to push the button on her music player until it starts up with the first song again. Then we say goodnight, get some sleep, I love you. And she says yeah. Can you tell you has the control at our house? It's crazy, I know, but we'll do anything to get her to go to bed!

3- She LOVES to dance. You can see by the video that she loves to dance to "How does she know", from Enchanted. She will dance and sing the whole song and when it's over she says,"Again!" I wish DVD players had a repeat button! I bought the dancing with the stars workout DVD and I really like it. I'm not a good dancer so I'm sure I look pretty foolish, but she loves to do it with me. When that is over she says, "Again!"
I'm done after I do it once.

4-She is a really picky eater. The only things that she will eat are Wendy's chicken nuggets, french toast, grilled cheese sandwiches, grapes, apples, carrots, cereal, and candy. I bought the deceptively delicious cook book and I make a few recipes from it that she will eat. She'll go a couple of days just barely eating anything and then one day she eats anything I put in front of her. Oh I love those days. My mom says not to worry, my oldest sister Cindy lived off of cheerios for a year! So I guess things could be worse.

5-She is so sweet and tender hearted. She'll tell me, "Lub you." And I say, "I love you too." And then she'll say, "So much." It just makes my heart melt when she says it. The other night she was laying next to me and I yawned and it made my eyes water. She looked over at me and said, "You cry?" I said, "No I'm OK, I just yawned." Then she asked me, "You okay?"

I love you my Maddikins, so much. I am so grateful to be your mommy and I am so lucky to have such a sweet (and sometimes a little sassy) little girl. I love you my sweet baby girl.

Weight Watchers

Well I finally did it. I joined Weight Watchers! I decided it will help me if I post my weight each week and have to tell everyone my progress. This is embarrassing and I think a little brave :). So here it goes, my starting weight is 170. I am really excited to learn how to eat better and hopefully lose some weight. Wish me luck!

What a mess!

I heard someone in the pantry, and this is what I find. I thought I could either be mad or laugh at it and take pictures. So this is a mess made in less than 5 minutes!
Then he thinks, what else can I do to make an even bigger mess? Empty the tupperware drawer! Notice the lid flying out of his hand!
Then him and Maddie decide to spread it around!

This was after he was all done. Bon, look at Snickers in the background!

This is what we do all day long!

You can pause the music down at the bottom and hear me and Maddie sing along.

I decided to take a picture of what I see everyday. During the day I try to get things done, like cooking and laundry and this little guy is always hanging on my leg and whining. I love it. At least I'm trying to! I know this won't last forever and I just want to enjoy it.

Only me

I've decided that I am just one of those people that embarrassing things happen to. This Sunday, we were sitting in sacrament meeting and Jack starts throwing a tantrum. I start wrestling him and trying to get him to calm down, when all of a sudden I feel my skirt zipper coming undone. It does this, not because I am to big for the skirt, but because it's a faulty zipper. Meanwhile, Jack is still screaming and wants to get down. I put him down in hopes that it will calm him down and I can discretely zip my skirt back up. No such luck, he starts to crawl out in the aisle and books it, as fast as he can crawl. So I lunge for him and hope that my skirt stays in place. I hurry and sit down and hope that nobody saw my undies. This could have turned out to be a lot worse. At least it stayed around my waist and didn't fall to my ankles. (Did I mention we were on the 3rd row from the front?) Jack is screaming like a mad man and Derek mouths to me, take him out. I say, "I can't my skirt is unzipped, if I stand up it will fall off me!" He rolls his eyes and he gets Jack and takes him out. Meanwhile I am so embarrassed and I try my best to get it at least get half way zipped so I can keep Maddie entertained without having to worry if the sweet family behind us is going to get a crack shot. I was thinking why me, why does this kind of stuff always happen to me?! I have no idea if anyone saw anything, but I am very hopeful that it all stayed covered! Then on the walk home I was carrying Jack and laughing with Derek, when all of a sudden my shoe turned on it's side and made me trip. I look back and our neighbors were right behind us. They didn't say anything of course, they are to nice for that, but again, why me?
